The Mitsubishi Eclipse has been made available in two trim levels which are the GS and the GT. It also has been crafted as either a passenger family coupe or a sports coupe. It held two doors and held the capacity and capability to take in a maximum of four people in its cabin. It actually was launched in the year 1989 however it was introduced as an all new 1990 mode. For this year, 2006, the Mitsubishi Eclipse was redesigned. The GS trim level came equipped with a standard 2.4 liter I4 engine that was quite capable of producing some 162 units of horsepower. It could take the Mitsubishi Eclipse some 23 miles per gallon during driving in the city and some 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Standard for this vehicle is a five speed manual transmission system with overdrive. Given as an option was the four speed automatic transmission system with overdrive.
